SOCHUM is the ideal first committee: substantive enough to matter, forgiving enough to learn in. First-time delegates receive structured feedback from the dais throughout the weekend.
The 1951 Refugee Convention does not recognise climate displacement — leaving millions in legal limbo. Delegates will negotiate a framework for protection, burden-sharing and dignified relocation before the next monsoon season makes the question urgent again.
